John McCain: Bush is a fool and fraud
McCain:
"Only a fool or a fraud talks tough or romantically about war," McCain tells the camera. "I was shot down over Vietnam and spent five years as a POW. Some of the friends I served with never came home. I hate war. And I know how terrible its costs are."Bush did both, so that makes him both a fool and a fraud:
"There are some who feel like that the conditions are such that they can attack us there. My answer is bring them on," Bush said.Wow, still leaves me in shock. I wonder how many of our guys died because of that statement. Bush is also a fraud by John McCain's definition as he talks about fighting in Afghanistan:
This is one of the few things McCain has said that rings true. And yet he still wants four more years in Bush's shadow. Pitiful.....If further proof were needed that President Bush resides in a dream world, he settled the issue on Thursday definitively.
Speaking by videoconference with U.S. military and civilian personnel in Afghanistan about the challenges posed by war, corruption, and the poppy trade, the president unleashed this comment:
I must say, I'm a little envious. If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed. It must be exciting for you … in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You're really making history, and thanks.
