SD-10: Diane Whitley up and running on the web
Diane Whitley is on the web with her new campaign website for Senate District 10:
I finally got my campaign website up and running! Stop by and visit-- check out all the buttons and pages and let me know if you have any download problems... I tried to make this site user-friendly: even for those who have older computers or slow dial-up connections.Diane is running against Bill Cadman, who doesn't think Colorado's children need much health care:
For those of you who have pledged money for my campaign-- please take a few moments to send in those pledges. If you have misplaced the envelope that was sent to you-- all the information can be found on the 'Contact us' page of the website. Also I recommend that you click on the 'Visit myspace blog' link on the home page to read the latest blogs. This is actually the third website produced for the campaign: I also have a website on myspace and facebook. If you are members of these- please look me up and send a friend request. Thanks for all you do!-- Diane
But Sen. Bill Cadman, R-Colorado Springs, spoke out against it, saying the state can't afford to dramatically increase funding for government-sponsored health plans such as Colorado Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+).
"We're talking about promising a solution to a problem we have yet to define," Cadman said. "This promise is not legally binding, but it's morally binding."
That's 180,000 children for Bill Cadman and the Party of "Family Values" to consider. There is a thoroughly and independently documented problem which he says doesn't exist. Now he considers the children unworthy. So much for morals and stuff.
So anyway, we have Democratic candidates for ALL House and Senate seats in El Paso County this year. There's no excuse not to pitch in. And if you're in Diane's district, check out her website!
