Lynn Bartels on Colorado Inside Out just came up with the perfect idea to get Doug Bruce up to the State House on time with his colleagues: she said Andrew Romanoff should declare Bruce's seat vacant so Bill Ritter can appoint a Democratic replacement.

You'll never see Doug's beat up Honda drive any faster up the 25 so as to deny Democrats the advantage of his unfashionably late arrival.

And our Republican friends would do no less....
