Another massive failure of judgement by Senator Ken Salazar
Ken Salazar campaigned for Joe Lieberman for Senate in '06. Lieberman famously lost the Democratic primary to Ned Lamont and spitefully ditched the Democratic Party. Yet a few Democratic senators still supported his bid to remain in the senate.
Here's what Salazar said about Lieberman:
"I want to see Joe Lieberman back in the Senate because he is one of those senators in the center, one of the moderate Democrats and Republicans who get things done," Salazar said Wednesday in Pueblo. "I gave him my word that I would support him and I will."Ken also sponsored AG Gonzales to the Attorney General spot in '04, where Alberto promptly urged all kinds of lawbreaking, demoralized the Justice Department and destroyed morale, and left under a cloud of corruption and investigations.
Lieberman just endorsed John McCain, A REPUBLICAN, for President:
Joe Lieberman, the Democratic vice presidential nominee in 2000 endorsed Republican John McCain for president on Monday, scandalizing Democrats in Washington and giving the GOP hopeful a much-needed boost in New Hampshire where independents outnumber Republicans and Democrats.Kenny, you're doing a heckuva job!
Sen. Joseph Lieberman said he chose his longtime Senate colleague because he has the best shot of breaking partisan gridlock in Washington. Both men also are strong and vocal supporters of the war in Iraq.

Republicans who vote the party line are no worse than Democrats who do the same. I agree with Salazar, and I agree with Lieberman. NOT on his views on Iraq, but in the idea that we've lost touch with moderates in the political sphere. We need to hear some reasonable, intelligent debate on issues, without undue attention given to the little R's and D's after the names.
agree wholeheartedly....
