CD-5: Will Lamborn-R Ever Stand for What's Right?

Ah Doug, caught on the badass, sharp and painful horns of a dilemma:

This past weekend, House Speaker Dennis Hastert visited Colorado Springs to campaign with Doug Lamborn and raise money for his race. At the same time, the Washington Post was breaking the story that Hastert had admitted knowing a year ago about inappropriate contact between Republican Congressman Mark Foley and a young boy serving as a page for the House.

Reports that Speaker Hastert knew about Foley's predatory actions, yet covered it up and left children to fend for themselves, have led even many national conservatives to call for Hastert's immediate resignation.

But Doug Lamborn, who was campaigning with Hastert as this national scandal was exploding, has said nothing.

Tell him to stand up for what's right, finally:

As usual, you liberals will lie in an effort to fool your sheep-like followers. Is it any wonder average Americans don't believe anything liberals say.

First of all, Dennis Hastert was NOT in Colorado with Doug Lamborn on Saturday. And he certainly wasn't raising money and campaigning with Doug. As far as I know, he has never been in Colorado Springs.

Secondly, you conveniently fail to name the "national conservatives" who have called for Hastert's resignation. Do you mean the editorial writer for The Washington Times? Do you even know his/her name? I haven't heard of one other conservative individual or organization calling for Hastert's resignation.

Maybe if you liberals told the truth more often people might take you more seriously.

Hey, Zappatero, try this: Let's let Democrats hold their candidates' feet to the fire, and leave the Republican-candidate-feet-holding to Republicans. And if you want to address Republicans, put up a Republican blog.

Meanwhile, as an honest Dem, I continue to be disgusted at this blog's refusal to take Fawcett to task for having refused to ever question Bush's well-documented repeated incriminating 9/11 witness statements.

In that regard, Fawcett and Lamborn are equally corrupt and unfit to serve and represent We The People in the U.S. Congress.

Connect the dots already...
