Scorched Earth Republicans
I like to call them the Rubber Stamp Republicans.
But their scorched earth tactics are making news as well.
No wonder they're pining for the Apocalypse. If Mel Gibson hadn't gotten arrested just in time, I thought they'd be right on schedule. Thank You, Mel!

I agree. I wrote this and it was published on the net several years ago:
American Taliban
Within the shining city on a hill
a thousand points of light unite.
The torch is passed -a new generation sent
to illuminate a brave new world.
The fiery rhetoric of their religious fervor
licks up the fountains and springs of living water.
Their burnt offerings to Baal leave behind
only a waterless trench in a desert wilderness.
After forty days tempted by unquenched thirst,
these restless spirits return to a house swept clean,
bringing seven more wicked wanderers befriended along the way.
Scorched earth- the only footprint left in the sands of time.
