Weapon of Mass Distraction

A very apt description of George Bush: he is a weapon of mass distraction.

The description was given by the Reverend Joseph Lowery, who also said this about Coretta King:

"She deplored the terror inflicted by our smart bombs on missions way afar."

"We know now there were no weapons of mass destruction over there. But Coretta knew, and we knew, that there are weapons of misdirection right down here."

"Millions without health insurance. Poverty abounds. For war, billions more, but no more for the poor."

He was referring specifically to George W. Bush. All the right-wing hacks are just beside themselves that we dare criticize their President.

Joseph Lowery did not back down.

Of course, we didn't hear these hackles about "dignity of the office" and "respect for the Presidency" when they were accusing Bill Clinton of rape, murder, drug-dealing, and everything else.

My how times change.
