"The FISA law was written in 1978. And we're having this discussion in 2006."

President Bush's reason he can circumvent the law that he said FISA was working OK not more than 2 years ago.

Yet in the next moment, he'll praise Samuel Alito for being a strict constructionist and praise his view that the Constitution is immutable. It was written in 1787! Omigod, it might have dust mites on it or something. How can we trust something so old!
