Open Letter to Senate Dems

The filibuster is not dead, it just smells funny.

Our Senators still can't see that an unchecked power grab by the President is a bad thing. Would they give that same power to Hillary Clinton, President Obama?

I doubt it.......of course they think they'll be able to re-rig, un-rig, un-do all the horrible decisions of George Bush the next time there's a Democratic President.

I don't trust them. You shouldn't either.

Light 'em up:

1. CONCENTRATE ON THE GOAL: TO SWITCH ENOUGH VOTES SO THAT WE WIN 51-49.

2. CONCENTRATE ON THE MOST POWERFUL MESSAGE, WHICH IS: ALITO IS WONDERFULLY-WELL QUALIFIED IN ALL RESPECTS BUT ONE: HE DOES NOT ACCEPT CERTAIN FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES IN THE CONSTITUTION, AND BECAUSE OF THAT HE CANNOT BE A GOOD SUPREME COURT JUSTICE.

3. CONCENTRATE ON REPUBLICANS WHO ARE NOT FROM THE OLD CONFEDERACY, WHO ARE NOT BIG-BUSINESS/FAT-CAT REPUBLICANS, AND WHO DO HAVE LIBERTARIAN TENDENCIES.

It's a democracy, for the time being..............
