$2.399 per gallon

That's the price of the gas I just bought. What does it say about:
  • "Iraq will pay for itself"
  • "We will be met as liberators"
  • "largest oil reserves in the middle east"
  • "6 days or 6 weeks, 6 months at the most"
  • "coalition of the willing"
  • "fight them over there"
  • "I would call the Saudis and have them lower their prices"
It says a helluva lot more about those that believed all those statements, imho.

Activist Judges

Gee, who'da thunk it? The most activist judges on the Supreme Court are the right-wing's heroes. The judges most likely to overturn legisltatures from around the country are those touted by President Bush* as "strict contructionists" and "ideal jurors".

One of the judges least likely to overturn legislatures is the one the right wing is lying** the most about.

Once again, reality diverges from Republican rhetoric..........

Clearly Not Safer

John Hamre, president of the Center for Strategic and International Studies and former deputy secretary of defense, said: “Clearly [the world] is not safer. I think this highlights the complexity of the problem."

And Juan Cole says: "George Bush is sure to try to use the London bombings to rally the American people to support his policies. If Americans look closer, however, they will realize that Bush's incompetent crusade has made the world more dangerous, not less."

So no, neither Democrats, nor Defense analysts like that guy and others, nor our General Officers want Saddam back in power.

But we weren't afraid of Saddam's balsa wood gliders of mass destruction™ either.
