Salazar Was Right: Lott Backs Him Up
"James Dobson: Who does he think he is, questioning my conservative credentials?" Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., said in an interview. Dobson, head of the conservative group Focus on the Family, criticized Lott for his efforts to forge a compromise in the fight over the judges. Lott is still angry. "Some of his language and conduct is quite un-Christian, and I don't appreciate it," the senator said.
Looks like Salazar was correct in his criticisms of Dobson. Of course, humility is not in James Dobson's dictionary. It is in his bible, though.

You're assuming he reads the Bible now. Focus is not a church. Dr. Dobson is not ordained, he's a PhD psychologist who has a very trust-inspiring voice, found a really good niche on the radio, moved from CA to CO, and has turned that successful radio program into an empire. By all accounts from his former (or current, if they go into a soundproof booth first) employees, he's incredibly controlling and there are deep strategies involved in many of the things he decides Focus should do or not do, nothing as simple and up front as doing good. Have you been inside the facility? They keep close track of where everyone is, and everything costs money. It's kind of like a loosely Bible-based indoor theme park, but I keep thinking of the moneychangers in the Temple.
