Is Anyone Out There?

Hello? "Responsible Republicans" - I heard there were some. They "said" they supported fiscal responsibility, smaller government, ethical leadership. Do the Responsible Republicans support this:

"The time will come for the men responsible for this to answer for their behavior" - 3/31/05

"No man, no problem" - 4/8/05

"When a man is in trouble or in a good fight, you want to have your friends around, preferably armed. So I feel really good" - 4/16/05

That's irresponsibility defined, and personified, in Tom DeLay.

Yet the Republicans aren't talking much about personal responsibility much any more. Or a balanced budget amendment or term limits for that matter. Maybe it was just rhetoric to fool Joe Sixpack and get themselves in power to take care of their "real" issues.

I'm not so sure, but it'd be nice if some "Responsible Republicans" spoke up.
